In total population of more than 28 million there are approx 19.7 million registered voters in Punjab who will elect their vote for Punjab Assembly Elections 2017, but the fact is this time youngster hold the key of Aging leaders in Punjab as there more than 50% voters in the 18-39 age group who will cast their vote for the first time.
On the other hand the battle is between the aging leaders of all major political parties the ruling Shiromani Akali Dal representative Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal is 89 years old whereas the Congress contender, Amarinder Singh, claims that Badal is actually 94 years old. Amarinder Singh will himself turn 75 in March 2017. AAP have not reveal its chief ministerial face yet. So this will be an interesting war to see between the young voters and aged politicians in assembly elections on 4 February.
However the most interesting thing about Punjab election is that till now the politics history of Punjab witness the one-to-one war between ruling Shiromani Akali Dal-BJP alliance and Congress, whereas this time the AAP party blow softly down the lands of the traditional opponents. AAP was in strong position having all ground support in front of Shiromani Akali Dal who hold the rural vote bank and the congress who claims mostly urban votes, this will be really interesting to watch how voters will choose their representative for the bright future of Punjab.
As per the above facts it is straight that the Punjab Assembly Election 2017 are really captious in Punjab politics history.
