Today the Punjab CEO (Chief Electoral Officer) VK Singh said requisite arrangements have been made for calculating of votes for the Punjab state assembly election on March 11.
VK Singh said for all the 117 assembly electors in Punjab, 54 counting centres have been accepted at different 27 locations where the calculating of votes would be started at 8:00 AM. He asked more than 14,000 officials have been delegated in the counting centres across the state.
The CEO also tell that District Election Offices in the state, famous public places and malls would witness TV screens, where live election-results would be show.
VK singh asked the whole counting process would be started with security arrangements and unauthorised persons would not be allowed in the counting centres. He also said the mobile phones not allowed in the counting centres.
VK Singh said no other officers, candidates, counting agents and staff would be allowed to take their mobile in the counting centres.
The CEO said the Punjab Assembly Election 2017 result would also be updated on the website of Election Commission.
