Amrit Versha, a Punjab woman who relocated in Australia migrated from Punjab has been honoured with this prestigious NAPCAN (National Association for Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect) award by Governor General of Commonwealth of Australia.
She has worked in community services for more than 25 years and she was selected as an advocate to ensure welfare and security of the children. Her dedication and devotion towards this noble work made her entitled for this prestigious award.
In the year of 2013, she was honoured with the “Humanitarian of the Year” award for working for prevention of family violence and she has also been conferred twice for the Premier’s Women of the year award.
Amrita stated that the hard work and dedication she had shown in two decades has been rewarded gracefully and makes her more inspired and motivated to serve the humanity.
