In Dera Bassi Yesterday the three days pulse polio campaign was started. In this pulse polio campaign children up to five years old has been administered polio drops.
This campaign is inaugurated by the Civil Surgeon Ranjit Kaur Guru from Mohali with the health officials by administering polio drops to the children at Saidpura village which is near to the Dera Bassi.
SMO of Dera Bassi Mohinder Singh told that under this pulse polio campaign around 35860 children up to five years had been administered polio drops. He told that around 145 teams are constituted and 28 trained supervisors were also there to supervise the campaign.
He also told that these teams would visit all the rural areas , villages as well as slums also. They will go door to door and make sure that no children will remain without the polio drops.
This campaign will be continued up to 27 September to administer polio drops to the children. Those children who were left in the first round of this campaign will be administer polio drops in next two rounds which are on 26th and 27th September. This campaign is started for the better health of the children so that they remain safe from polio
