It is being said that this scheme would be essential for employees and it would cover approximately 6.50 lakh employees in all over Punjab and its annual financial liability would be around 160 crore. As per “Medical attendance rule 1940” all the conveniences will be given to the employees.
This scheme would be delivered to government employees along with the family members relying on him and would cover almost 250 hospitals in the region of Punjab, Chandigarh along with NCR.
In case if the employees is in some other state of India then spending on treatment would be reimbursed by the respective insurance company and it will take maximum 15 days for the reimbursement from the day medical claim is submitted.
The scheme would envelop the pre hospitalization welfare up to 7 days and post hospitalization up to 30 days. This scheme would require liability of 107 crore for a year and it would replace the old scheme of reimbursing the medical cost.
