Thousands of the people specially motorists faced inconvenience yesterday because the security forces sealed a very busy part of the national highway on the Haryana-Punjab border which links Delhi and Amritsar.
The Indian National Lok Dal call of water war due to this the 24 km of NH-1 was sealed by security forces on Ambala (Haryana)-Rajpura (Punjab) .
A Punjab police personnel said that the traffic was diverted. Daily thousands of the motorists has been taken the NH-1 to and go from the Punjab to Delhi onwards via Haryana.
The Punjab and Haryana police sealed the highway in their counterparts, so that they can prevent any escalation.
Both side heavy presence of the police personals as well as central para-military forces has been seen with riot gear and riot control vehicles at Shambhu barrier, which is the entry point into Punjab from Haryana.
