Punjab government has sternly instructed to close the all tobacco shops which do not bearing license.
Punjab government has given orientation to all municipalities to certify seized of all tobacco shops which are running without license. This direction has been emerged under Punjab Tobacco Vends Fees Act 1953.
Priyank Bharti, Director Of Local Government has commanded to municipal officials to ensure the shutdown of shops trading on tobacco products in the specific area.
Vini Mahajan, Principal health secretary stated that an establishments license can be nullify if it disobeys the Tobacco Control Act.
