Yesterday at Daala village in Moga district a protest is organised by the Kirti Kisan Union activists. Slogans were raised by them against the SAD-BJP government. They were demanding that all those farmers who were arrested will be released . If the farmers were not released then they will intensify their protest.
From past few days around 600 farmers has been arrested by the state government in different districts of Punjab. All these farmers were sent to the 14 days judicial custody under the preventive laws. They told that SAD-BJP government used police force to suppress the voice of the farming community and also told that this is against their democratic rights.
Nirbhai Singh Dhudike who is the state president of the farmers’ union told that we are protesting peacefully against the government and created no problem for law and order.
He also told that CM Parkash Singh Badal has accepted most of their demands and then he has backtracked which is very shameful. Because he is the head of the state. SAD-BJP government used police force and has adopted anti farmer attitude when many poor farmers are committing suicides in a very large number in the state.
